Tekmar’s Engineering Department offers technical and marine engineering services for any project specific requirement from concept design to the delivery of complete turnkeys projects.
All engineering design is performed on Autodesk Inventor and other design packages can be subjected to third party design verification. We have a successful track record of assisting our clients with varied one-off design and build projects.
All designs are subjected to simulated workshop testing and our service engineers are available to install and commission the equipment offshore.
Two examples of one-off design and build projects are shown illustrated below:
- J-tube seal installation tool
ABB were facing a problematic sub-sea project whereby two of another supplier’s passive j-tubes seals had come out of the j-tube following pressurisation.

- Insulation and foil application tools
Tekmar were approached by Technip to design a machine that could apply insulation panels to their pipe in pipe systems. The machines were to be installed in the spoolbases in Alabama USA and Dande Africa.
